It's basically forums full of people like us who are guessing how to fix their problems, but never have a concrete solution. And to make it worse, any support available, is very difficult to find and not helpful at all. Nothing about our Pro Tools experience has been easy or pleasant so far.
The installation has been very stressful and tedious, to say the least. At this point, our Pro Tools rig is a $3000 paperweight. We have had this program since December 26th. It did this every time I tried to open this project though. It gave the option to save a detailed report, so I did. It stated "Some regions are invalid and had to be deleted". The third message came up when I closed out and tried to open folder again. It says "You are running out of CPU use" -9128. We tried again, but got a second error message while we were just practicing with the click track playing. We exited out of the program and reopened. If this occurs frequently, try decreasing the "H/W Buffer Size" in the Playback Engine panel. This might indicate an invalid clock source. It stated as follows " The audio buffer device overflowed. We sat down last night to record our first guitar track with the click track, and not 20 seconds into recording, we get the first error message. Everything has been installed properly and optimized according to AVID's recommendations. We have a Glyph GT050Q for our second hardrive. We have purchased a Dell XPS 8300 with the Intel Core i7 processor available and 8G of RAM.
